Efficient import and export services

Welcome to our 
customs department

Our customs team in Halden is based at Svinesundparken Transportsenter. From here, we handle a full range of customs assignments for both small and large businesses.

Most consignments are cleared via Svinesund, but we are authorised to perform direct customs clearance at all road border crossings, as well as at most ports.

We prepare both import and export documentation in the Norwegian and Swedish customs systems, handle Norwegian transit declarations and issue EUR1 certificates. The bonded warehouse at Svinesund allows for temporary storage of uncleared goods.

For Norwegian imports, all customs documents are prepared in advance and placed in a dedicated envelope for the driver at our own shelf at the Svinesund tollstasjon. At other border crossings, documents are handled via SMS or email correspondence. The driver collects the envelope and submits the documents to customs, who then complete the import process. The customs declaration is sent directly to the importer’s preferred email address, providing full visibility for accounting and documentation purposes.

For exports, documents can be collected at our office. Outside normal opening hours, completed paperwork is made available in an external mailbox. Simple and efficient.

All requests should be sent to our shared email address: customs@hro.no. Enquiries and assignments are handled continuously during opening hours, and completed customs documents are returned promptly to the client. The customs department at Svinesund operates both Norwegian and Swedish customs systems and works closely with reliable partner freight forwarders across Europe.
